Michelle Macirella is the Owner/Photographer of Luminaria Photography in Rochester, NY. Michelle has been viewing the world through a lens for as long as she can remember and bought her first camera when she was eight years old. Before her career in photography, however she was a professional theatrical Stage Manager and Production Secretary on Academy & Emmy Award winning film and television productions such as A Beautiful Mind and Ed. She also works as a contributing writer and photographer for several publications including Lake Affect Magazine, Pup Culture Magazine and Rochester Woman Magazine. One of Michelle's specialties is pet portraits and commercial pet photography. She loves being around animals especially with a camera in her hand. Michelle has a BFA from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and lives with her husband and their dog, Bear.
